CHILD CARE

Regular child care for a large family with children with special needs

If interested, contact:

Jessica M Francis at (541)206-1976 or jessicamfrancis@gmail.com

We have eight children between the ages of 18 months and 16 years old.  Two of the older boys have Autism and require supervision.  My 15 year old daughter can help with the children, but struggles to handle difficult situations.  I prefer applicants with experience with teens with Autism, but training can be provided as needed.  This job will mostly be in the evenings for us to attend concerts or go on a weekly date, but may be during the day on Saturdays for us to attend the temple.  We can discuss scheduling as we go.

Techie For Life: Mentor

If interested, contact:

Jason Grygla at 623-703-2261, or email a resume and introduce yourself to jason@techieforlife.com

Check out our website at TechieForLife.com

Starting pay is 15/hr.

16-40 hours per week depending on your needs, from 4-10 on school nights, longer on weekends. We have a great crew and we all love our jobs:) Peer mentors at TFL work as equals, not authoritarians, to motivate, teach, and create experiential development for young adults who are neurodiverse, including autism/aspergers for example. Our students aren't so disabled that they can't attend college or work, they just need extra support getting there.

We have a ton of fun- work hard/play hard, trips, eating out, cleaning, help with homework... Anything a normal college student does, we want you to help our students do those things which take extra help, time and repetition. We set up activities, attend university functions, do driving or anything else they need to become independently successful. It's the perfect job for a proactive person, loud or quiet, who can be the one to instigate doing stuff. No need to be a social work/psyche student; just a lover of people and a natural mentor.

Any willing college age student with a great attitude could make a huge difference in the lives of our students. Perks include meals on shift, paid trips with students, houseboat retreat at Powell each summer, bonuses. Plus you will have a meaningful job instead of just a paycheck. Great experience for anything mental health, business and leadership focus. We want college age and college/vocational attending students who will be great examples.
